The idea for the company was conceived late one night on a winding road in northern Sweden. Lars Svelander, a driving safety instructor and former professional racer from Sundsvall, Sweden, was commuting between his home in Sweden and Norway where he was working as an instructor. It was during one of those commutes that he almost hit a deer at high speed. He just didn’t see it coming.
The incident got him thinking that if this could happen to a professional driver using the best auxiliary lights on the market, then there must be a better way. He spent the rest of that long drive inventing that better way. It was then the idea for Rayzer was born.
Together with management consultant and venture capitalist Lars Ericson, Visualeyes AB was founded in Sundsvall in the fall of 2006.
